- Allen Bankston Loses Life In Mishap On Highway
Allen Bankston, 17, Hillsboro, Route 2, died at Benevolent Society Hospital shortly after admittance Sunday morning from a crushed head and internal injuries suffered when the car in which he and 10 others were riding plunged off the road between Moulton and Courtland about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, when Bankston, the driver, was said to have been blinded by the lights of another car.
The body of the Lawrence county youth was prepared for burial at Brown Funeral parlors here and later removed to the home near Hillsboro, where funeral and burial rites were to be held today.
